Updates & now a part of Hyldyr

Please note that we’re currently transferring the site to new software. To keep the data we house here available to the public, we’ve decided to keep the site live during this progress. During this process parts of the site will look a bit odd. Please excuse our mess!

Over a decade ago, Mimisbrunnr.info developed out of the Ár Var Alda reading circle at the University of Georgia, at the time sponsored by the school’s Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies. Since then we’ve produced many resources, articles, and a variety of entirely new translations, often featuring original art.

Over time, Mimisbrunnr.info’s projects have become increasingly book-like. Noticing this, several readers suggested we consider producing physical media. And now the team has done exactly that: We are happy to announce we are now operating as a division of the scholarship-centered, folklore-focused independent publishing house Hyldyr.

In practice, this simply means tighter integration with relevant Hyldyr projects. While Hyldyr focuses on folklore topics across the globe, Mimisbrunnr.info’s philological focus will not change.

That said, expect a variety of updates here soon. Stay tuned!
